As we’ve previously shared (here & here), Sophie Fatus is hard at work creating what is sure to be a beautiful tree for the 17th Annual Family Trees exhibition at the the Concord Museum. We’re so excited to see the finished product! The ornaments she’s crafting are inspired by her illustrations in The Story Tree by Hugh Lupton. What’s your favourite Sophie Fatus illustration?

The 17th Annual Family Trees: A Celebration of Children’s Literature is fast approaching! Last year, we had French artist Miss Clara craft ornaments inspired by The Snow Queen for the Barefoot Books tree. This year, illustrator Sophie Fatus is taking inspiration from The Story Tree. She’s hard at work in her studio in Florence, Italy, but soon she’ll be joining us at the museum in Concord, Massachusetts! For more information about the exhibition, visit the Concord Museum’s website.

Every year, the museum at Concord, Massachusetts hosts a Family Trees exhibition. Each of the trees is thematically decorated; this year, we have invited French illustrator Sophie Fatus to decorate the Barefoot Books tree.
