Today’s podcast is from Tales of Wisdom & Wonder and tells the tale of a monkey who gets himself into trouble through a simple misunderstanding. In “Monkey and Papa God” an old woman drops her pot of golden honey on the way to the market and cries out, “Misery, oh misery, Papa God! Why’d you send me so much misery?” When the monkey hears her crying, he thinks that the sweet and sticky stuff oozing on the ground is called misery and decides to go to Papa God to ask for more.
