This week’s podcast is a story that comes from the Pawnee tribe of North America. Lone Boy is the poorest boy in the tribe and the old dun horse is the feeblest Pinto. When the head chief announces that whoever brings him the spotted buffalo hide will wed his daughter, the old dun horse helps Lone Boy hunt and fight their enemies. Will the head chief accept Lone Boy as a hero? Find out when you tune in!

In this story, Lone Boy’s good deeds save the old dun horse’s life. What’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done for a stranger? Comment below and you’ll be entered for a chance to win Magic Hoofbeats!  The contest closes 13 November at midnight EST and 14 November at 5am GMT.

Here are some fun facts about Pinto horses:

  • The coats of Pinto horses are usually white with patches of other colors.
  • The word “pinto” means “painted” in Spanish.
