The 17th Annual Family Trees: A Celebration of Children’s Literature is fast approaching! Last year, we had French artist Miss Clara craft ornaments inspired by The Snow Queen for the Barefoot Books tree. This year, illustrator Sophie Fatus is taking inspiration from The Story Tree. She’s hard at work in her studio in Florence, Italy, but soon she’ll be joining us at the museum in Concord, Massachusetts! Sophie Fatus is an illustrator and sculptress who studied at the prestigious Academy of Fine Art in Paris. Sophie lives in Florence, Italy. Her brightly colored illustrations and quirky style are world-renowned and have graced the pages of the following Barefoot Books titles:
