This week’s podcast comes from an African folktale in The Barefoot Book of Princesses. In “The Princess who Lost her Hair,” a princess is known far and wide for her beautiful golden hair. When an ugly, green bird appears in her window and asks for some of her hair to build his nest.  She refuses, and is cursed for her lack of kindness. All of her hair falls out–what can she do to redeem herself? Be sure to tune in to see if anyone can undo the curse upon the princess, and read on for a chance to win!

In “The Princess who Lost her Hair,” the princess prizes her hair above everything else. What is your best feature? Let us know by sharing a comment, and you will be entered to win a copy of The Barefoot Book of Princesses. The contest closes Tuesday, February 21 at midnight EST and Wednesday, February 22 at 5am GMT.
