Why stop celebrating Dads even though Father’s Day was last month? With these toe-tapping songs, you can keep the fun going for a long while!

Check out a few of our favorites and let us know what your most memorable song was when you were a child. You’ll be helping out our editorial team as they come up with the next round of our new singalong books and stories!

And, while we’re in the spirit of celebrating all of the wonderful Dads and Granddads out there, here’s a lovely quote from baseball legend Harmon Killebrew, that we think helps depict the meaning of Dads in the lives of kids. (Interesting note: Harmon had 9 children, 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He recently passed away at age 74. You can read about his life here in his obituary from the Los Angeles Times.)

“My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.” “We’re not raising grass,” Dad would reply. “We’re raising boys.”
